Our Story

Collin Achola (RIP) was more than a dreamer. She was a doer. Born and raised in Northern Uganda, she knew firsthand the challenges her community faced: poverty, displacement, and limited access to quality education. But instead of walking away, she chose to give back. With unwavering determination, she built a small primary school, a safe space where children could learn, dream, and grow.

Children who once had no access to education were suddenly reading, writing, and believing in their future, all because one woman chose to act.

When Collin passed away, we knew her dream couldn’t end there. Her legacy had lit a fire in our hearts

In 2023, with the support of D-Prize, we founded Aloha Foundation Uganda to carry her mission forward. We didn’t just want to preserve what she built, we wanted to expand it.

Today, we continue her journey by working in underserved communities in Northern Uganda to transform education through the Play & Learn Initiative (PaLI),  combining foundational learning, play-based engagement, and life skills development to reach the children most at risk of being left behind.

We do this in her memory, for our community, and for every child whose dreams deserve a chance.
